Advanced tooth loss can affect chewing, speech, facial support and confidence. Full-arch implant rehabilitation is planned to replace the failing or missing dentition with a fixed restoration. Assessment includes the condition of the remaining teeth, the available bone, the bite and the patient’s expectations.
The All-on-4 concept uses four strategically positioned implants to support a full arch. Implant angulation and, in selected anatomical situations, a palatal approach can help make use of the available bone. The number, position and type of implants are chosen from the individual clinical findings and the restorative requirements. Immediate fixed teeth are considered when the conditions support this pathway.
